About the Conference
The International Studies Conference 2026 is a premier academic forum organized by the Department of International Relations, University of Peshawar, hosted at the historic Baragali Summer Campus.
The conference focuses on critical inquiry into the Pakistan–Afghanistan region and adjacent frontier spaces, exploring historical continuities, evolving political dynamics, security challenges, economic transformations, and societal change.
The conference aims to make both old and emerging frontiers more politically legible by fostering interdisciplinary dialogue among academics, policymakers, and practitioners, bridging research and policy-oriented perspectives.

Summer School 2026
Southwest Asian Horizons: Regional Politics and Diplomacy
The International Summer School is an intensive academic and leadership program designed for undergraduate and graduate students, as well as early-career professionals.
Hosted at the Baragali Summer Campus, the program adopts an interdisciplinary and inclusive approach, moving beyond narrow state-centric perspectives to examine political, diplomatic, security, and socio-economic dynamics shaping Southwest Asia, with particular focus on Pakistan and its regional environment.
Through expert lectures, workshops, simulations, and group discussions, participants will develop analytical, diplomatic, and policy-relevant skills while engaging with contemporary regional debates.
